Join us for a printmaking workshop at Open Studio in Portland, Maine! Katharine will be teaching this workshop on Linoleum Block Printing on a Press, walking you through the steps of creating a linoleum block and printing it on our antique Challenge printing press. No printmaking experience is required, and all materials will be provided!
This class will cover the basics of linoleum block carving, starting small and working up to a more advanced larger block by the end of the session. We will start by learning about the tools and techniques of linoleum carving, and the process of using a printing press, and working our way up to carving and printing a linoleum block.
This event will be held at Katharine Watson's new store, Open Studio, at 199 Pleasant Avenue in Portland, Maine. Class will run from 3-6pm on Sunday, March 8th.
This class is non-refundable, but is transferable between people so it can be purchased as a gift.
